Statement on Compliance with Supply Chain Due Diligence Obligations pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2017/821
SVS Schweißtechnik GmbH is committed to the responsible, transparent and human rights-compliant sourcing of minerals and metals and to complying with the supply chain due diligence obligations applicable to us.
Our actions are based in particular on Regulation (EU) 2017/821 laying down supply chain due diligence obligations for Union importers of tin, tantalum and tungsten, their ores, and gold originating from conflict-affected and high-risk areas, as well as on the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas, including its annexes and relevant supplements.
As a Union importer of tungsten and tungsten products, we have established our Supply Chain Policy (Download) for the responsible sourcing of minerals from conflict-affected and high-risk areas. It provides the framework for addressing potential risks in our supply chain and sets out the principles of responsible sourcing applied by SVS.
These principles also extend to our relevant suppliers. We expect them to support the requirements for responsible sourcing, to apply appropriate due diligence principles within their own supply chains, and to contribute to the necessary transparency throughout the supply chain.
In addition, SVS maintains a Complaint Mechanism (Download), through which concerns regarding potential risks or breaches of obligations within the supply chain can be reported.
