Declaration on the Fulfilment of Supply Chain Due Diligence Obligations pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2017/821
1. Responsible Sourcing of Conflict Minerals
SVS Schweißtechnik GmbH, as a Union importer of tungsten products, fulfils its due diligence obligations in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2017/821 of the European Parliament and of the Council.
2. Our Supply Chain Policy
SVS sources tungsten products exclusively from suppliers who transparently disclose their supply chain down to the smelter level. We require our suppliers to submit an annual Conflict Minerals Reporting Template (CMRT) in accordance with the Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI) standard, and we exclusively accept tungsten from smelters listed on the Responsible Minerals Assurance Process (RMAP) Conformant Smelter List. These requirements are an integral part of our supplier agreements.
3. Our Risk Management System
On an annual basis, we cross-reference the smelters named by our suppliers against the current RMAP list and assess the risk of sourcing from conflict-affected or high-risk areas. The results of the risk assessment are presented to management. For identified risks, we have defined clear escalation and action levels, which may extend to the suspension or termination of supplier relationships.
4. Results of the 2025 Risk Assessment
For the 2025 control year, we have systematically assessed the supply chain for our tungsten imports. We have received CMRTs from all tungsten suppliers. The metals we source originate from a smelter listed on the RMAP Conformant Smelter List. There are no indications of sourcing from conflict-affected or high-risk areas.
5. Third-Party Audit
In accordance with Article 6(2) of Regulation (EU) 2017/821, we are exempt as a metal importer from the obligation to commission an independent third-party audit, as we are able to provide substantive evidence of RMAP conformity for all smelters in our supply chain.
6. Continuous Improvement
We regularly review our processes and the certification status of our suppliers, and update this declaration annually in accordance with the requirements of Article 7 of Regulation (EU) 2017/821.
