Precipitation-Hardenable Copper Alloy With High Heat Resistance and Dimensional Stability
This heat-resistant copper alloy is precipitation-hardened and designed for conductive components exposed to long-term thermal and mechanical stress. It combines elevated softening temperature with moderate electrical conductivity. At the same time, it serves as a beryllium-free alternative for applications that require safer material handling.
In many setups, it can replace WIRBALIT® B as a high-performance substitute.

Material Profile
Key Material Properties
Environmental Compatibility
This beryllium-free alloy offers an environmentally safer alternative without compromising performance. It meets current standards for workplace safety and environmental compliance, making it suitable for industries that avoid regulated alloying elements.
Corrosion Resistance
It resists oxidation and corrosion under continuous thermal and mechanical stress. The alloy retains its shape and functionality even during extended use in welding applications.
Wear Resistance
The alloy delivers high mechanical strength while retaining dimensional accuracy. It resists wear and deformation under stress, ensuring stable operation over extended service life.
Thermal Conductivity
Good thermal conductivity supports stable heat distribution during thermal cycles. This extends component life and minimizes the risk of temperature-related damage.
Machinability
The material is compatible with conventional machining processes such as turning, milling, stamping and forging. It enables precise fabrication of complex component shapes.
Fields of Application
Examples of Use
This beryllium-free copper alloy is engineered for conductive components operating under continuous electrical, thermal and mechanical load. It ensures reliable current transmission in high-power contacts, bus systems and switching assemblies, even during extended operation and in demanding environments.
The material combines dimensional accuracy, high strength and wear resistance with effective thermal conductivity. It remains stable and functional in high-temperature applications such as resistance welding and die casting. Common uses include electrodes for resistance and projection welding, tools for flash and butt welding, and die inserts for aluminum casting and extrusion systems.
As a sustainable alternative to beryllium-based materials, the alloy provides long service life and strong corrosion resistance across both welding and casting processes.
