Solid Connection in the Torch Head:
SVS Standards for Nozzle Holders
Nozzle holders are built with high dimensional stability and tight manufacturing tolerances to ensure accurate positioning of all torch components. Durable materials withstand thermal and mechanical stress, maintaining their shape even during continuous operation. Optimized flow channels guide the shielding gas evenly to the weld zone, minimizing turbulence.
Available as standard versions or custom designs based on drawings or samples. Geometry, interfaces, and materials are precisely matched to your specific requirements.

Fundamentals
Function of Nozzle Holders in MIG/MAG Welding
During the welding process, the nozzle holder performs several interface functions within the torch head. It establishes the current transfer to the wire electrode, holds current-carrying and gas-carrying components securely in position, and guides the shielding gas toward the arc. As a robust mechanical and thermal interface, it plays a key role in maintaining stable performance during continuous operation.
Key Parameters of Nozzle Holders
The nozzle holder must conduct current reliably while also dissipating heat. This requires materials with high electrical conductivity and sufficient thermal resistance. Only when strength and conductivity are properly balanced does the holder remain dimensionally stable under continuous load.
All interface surfaces must be machined with tight tolerances. Even minor deviations can cause misalignment, unstable gas flow or electrical contact issues. Precise fits ensure accurate positioning of all components within the torch.
Current-carrying surfaces must be smooth and clean. Surface roughness or deposits increase resistance and reduce current transfer. A high-quality finish ensures arc stability and consistent component positioning.
