Mesh Welding – When Every Spot Counts

Components for mesh welding. Precisely manufactured, quickly available and tailored to your production. For pinpoint connections at every wire intersection.

Welding Method

Mesh Welding: Process, Advantages and Application Areas

Mesh welding joins wires at their crossing points to form rigid grids. Electrodes press the wires together while electrical current flows through the contact areas. The electrical resistance creates heat, locally melts the material and forms strong welds as it cools.

Multiple joints can be made at once, allowing efficient, high-speed production of mesh structures.

It is commonly used in the automotive industry, in equipment and vessel construction, in metal fabrication, and in the construction sector, for example for exhaust systems, tanks, radiators, sheet metal parts, reinforcement mats, fence panels, and welded meshes.

Product Overview

  • Electrodes

Electrodes direct current precisely to the wire intersections to create the welded joint. Available in WIRBALIT® B (CuCo2Be) or WIRBALIT® N (CuCrZr).

  • Elektrodenhalter für Gitterschweißen

    Electrode Holders

Electrode holders conduct welding current to the electrode, apply the contact force, and ensure stable positioning during the welding process. Available in WIRBALIT® HF/N/G (CuCr1Zr), WIRBALIT® CA (CuAl2O3), or WIRBALIT® D (CuNi2,5SiCr).

  • Shunt straps for welding systems

    Shunt Straps

Shunt straps transfer welding current between the power source and moving components such as guns, arms, or holders. Made of stacked copper laminations, available in standard sizes or as custom designs.
