Micro Welding: Process, Advantages and Application Areas
Micro welding creates permanent connections between fine wires and miniature parts. A highly focused arc or a precisely controlled resistance current concentrates heat exactly where needed, protecting surrounding structures. A solid and electrically conductive joint is formed as the material cools.
The process ensures high repeatability, extremely localized heat input and reliable operation in very limited space.
This method is used for cell contact connections, miniature electrical connections and high-precision components. It is commonly used in electronics manufacturing, medical technology and micromechanics.

Available as solid electrodes made of tungsten, WL10, molybdenum, TZM, or tungsten-heavy metal, as well as insert electrodes with copper shanks and inserts made of tungsten, WL10, molybdenum or TZM.
