Submerged arc welding – high-performance welding under a powder cover

Components for submerged arc welding. Precisely manufactured, with short delivery times and tailored to your production. For maximum performance in every welding cycle.

Intro

Submerged arc welding at a glance

In submerged arc welding (SAW welding), a welding wire is constantly added and melted under a layer of welding powder. The arc burns completely under the powder, which protects the process from atmospheric oxygen, forms slag, and supports even heat distribution. The closed powder cover allows the use of high welding currents, resulting in high penetration depth and high melting performance. Ideally suited for thick-walled components and long seams.

Products for submerged arc welding

  • Contact tips for submerged arc welding

    Contact tips

Contact tips transfer the welding current to the wire and guide it precisely into the joining zone. They ensure a stable arc and influence the seam quality. Manufactured from WIRBALIT® B (CuCo₂Be), WIRBALIT® D (CuNi₂,₅SiCr) or WIRBALIT® HF/N/G (CuCr1Zr).

We keep your production running

  • With one of the largest warehouses in Europe, we deliver products in standard formats immediately. Thanks to our in-house development and lean structures, we are also capable of implementing custom solutions flexibly and promptly.

  • As an active member of the German Welding Society (DVS), we contribute our practical experience directly to standards and guidelines. This results in solutions that not just meet current regulations but also help to shape the future.

  • Together, we analyze requirements, identify potential for optimization, and implement concrete improvements to make your processes more economical. As we understand consulting to be an integral part of the production process.

  • Where standards are not sufficient, we manufacture components according to drawings, samples, or as individual developments. In any case, each solution is precisely tailored to your production and permanently increases its efficiency.

  • All production phases are integrated into a structured testing system that detects and documents deviations at an early stage. For particularly demanding applications, we test components individually according to your specifications.

  • 60 years of welding technology experience go into every product and every consultation. Our in-depth understanding of complex welding processes ensures stable production processes and reliable results.
