Changer

Stationary changers are the right choice when retrofitting existing production lines with automated cap replacement. The welding gun moves automatically to the changer, where the cap is fully removed and replaced without operator intervention.

If there is sufficient space at the dressing stand, the changer is mounted directly there. Otherwise, it is installed on a separate bracket. In combination with swing arm units, the changer station is set up separately. For new installations, the combined changer with integrated dressing and cap changing is recommended.

Control is provided either via a frequency converter or a control box. For adapting to different installation heights, a height-adjustable stand version is available. Versions are offered with or without spring compensation.

Rotary type

The rotating version removes electrode caps via a rotating gear box. Stepless height adjustment, compact design, suitable for short cycle times. Mounting position easily adaptable. Covers cap sizes 13, 16, and 20 mm, including aluminum applications.

Push-off type

The push-off design removes electrode caps using a linear pusher unit. Designed for press-fit caps and especially suitable for welding guns with plug-in shanks. Can be mounted at three fixed height levels.

Mobile changers are used in systems with stationary swing arm units. They are mounted on the robot arm, which automatically positions the changer at the welding gun for cap removal and replacement.

The unit operates independently from the dressing system and is compatible with equipment from any manufacturer.

The rotating version removes electrode caps using a rotational change mechanism. The system features continuous height adjustment, compact construction, and design optimized for short cycle times. Installation orientation is easily adaptable. The mechanism accommodates cap sizes 13, 16, and 20mm and is suitable for aluminum welding applications.

Push-off type

The push-off design removes electrode caps using a linear actuator mechanism. It is specifically designed for press-fit caps and is particularly suitable for welding guns with plug-in shanks. The system can be mounted at three fixed height positions.
