Our dressing heads are engineered for high-volume production applications. They have demonstrated proven service life through over 20,000 milling operations under real-world conditions.

Each dressing head is manufactured to tight tolerances and heat-treated to ensure dimensional stability and fatigue resistance during operation. The contour design enables free chip evacuation while preventing material buildup. Head and blade are machined to identical tolerances ensuring precise, backlash-free fit.

Compatible with all standard dressing systems. Custom profiles available to specification. Geometry, aperture, and contour are precisely adapted to each specific application. Separate configurations available for upper and lower electrode caps.

Optimized chip management

The dressing head geometry enables controlled and reliable chip evacuation. Contours and clearances are engineered to prevent chip adhesion and eliminate blockages. The design integrates with existing extraction systems to ensure uninterrupted operation.

Guaranteed stability

Each dressing head is manufactured from dimensionally stable steel with manufacturing tolerances to 0.01 mm. Components are heat-treated to increase surface hardness and ensure dimensional stability under operational loads. This maintains permanent precise fit with electrode caps and accurate guidance.

We manufacture dressing cutters for both standard and custom geometries, achieving documented service life exceeding 20,000 milling operations under production conditions.

Each cutter is precisely matched to the cap profile and desired contact tip diameter. Cutters and heads are manufactured for exact fit and tested as matched pairs. Seating surfaces and cutting edges undergo up to six precision grinding operations. Coating selection, grinding stages, and configuration are optimized for specific materials and applications.

All manufacturing operations are performed under controlled conditions at our German facility.

Available in tool steel or carbide materials. Tool steel suits cost-effective applications with moderate cycle rates. Carbide is recommended for extended service life or abrasive operating conditions.

Coatings available in hard-wearing or smooth-finish variants. Hard coatings extend tool life while smooth finishes facilitate chip evacuation.

Cutting edges can be honed to reduce chipping risk.

Process stability

Dressing cutters are manufactured in climate-controlled production cells using high-precision EDM equipment. Underwater cutting operations reliably prevent dimensional distortion from thermal effects.

Quality assurance

Cutters are manufactured to tolerances of 0.01 mm. Automated measurement systems provide continuous dimensional monitoring with real-time process adjustment.
